This is still one of my favourite photos from one of my favourite mornings. Three of us dragged ourselves out of our tents in the predawn darkness - warm jackets on, pants rolled up, cameras in hand - and waded out into a glassy sunrise over Langebaan Lagoon to stalk the flamingos.
